A spiritual leader has shared the moment when a person attempted to force his way into his Manchester Jewish temple during a deadly assault, stating "I observed malevolence, I witnessed animosity".

Rabbi Daniel Walker explained that he and fellow worshippers held the gateways of the temple as the attacker was "ramming the doors, throwing weighty plant pots, trying anything he could to gain entry".

Commending the quick-thinking of those at the worship center, he remarked: "I observed real bravery, I must admit, and individuals who hurried to aid others rather than fleeing. It was amazing."

One victim, and Melvin Cravitz, 66, both died after the assailant struck people and attacked a person on that day.
