Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Power In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified assaults on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in delivering protection systems and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a public message.

He said that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets attacked energy facilities, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the city experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.

The assaults succeed nights of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
