19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial championship for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult season, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in especial - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with former trainer his previous coach.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface after spring of the previous year.
Victory also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I am participating in a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I got when my child Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and regular outbursts on the playing surface had led some to doubt if his skill to compete at the highest level was concluded.
But the player has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete assertively, backed up by an improved serve.
The champion recovered from a break down in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial professional victory, took control to create a third set.
He saved four early chances in a tight deciding set before the champion broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he earned the title with a shot at the net area, with his opponent failing to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
